I decided to vote early last night after work. I got to the Bountiful Library and went to the voting area. Right off the bat, a poll worker told me that from the end of the line where I was, it’ll take approximately 90 minutes to the voting booths! OMG! Luckily, I didn’t have anything else planned last night and I didn’t want to show up on Election Day when the other 70% of registered voters will be showing up. I asked for a pamphlet and reviewed the other items I’ll be voting for to kill the time in line. On the bright side, I only stood in line for an hour.
While in line, I started to chat with the man standing behind me who told me of his divorce, travels, etc. By the time we were within sight of the registration tables, he asked me for my phone number and possibly doing lunch. Too bad he cut me off in the parking lot earlier, smelled like cigarettes, and was at least two decades older. Why don’t men my own age ask me out? On the bright side, I only stood in line for an hour.

Sounds like you had an interesting experience. Hey - he can't be all bad - he was out doing his civic duty. Of course, it all depends on who he voted for...
Remember what the dating coach said - start flirting when you go to the grocery store, the library, etc. Guess we need to add polling place to that. :)
I totally forgot about that! I'm always trying to make people smile, regardless of who (or whatever sex) they are, does that mean I'm constantly flirting?
On the bright side...I love that.
From the tales I've heard of the long lines I really hope enough people are voting early that it won't be horrible on Tuesday. I think I'll take a book to read though.
