Tried out the bayleaf cafe on Main Street and met one of the owners, Seth ... so excited to try out these comfort foods!
Loved the drinks served in large mason jars ...
I had the Chicken Adobo rice bowl and Marcy tried the Chicken Fried Chicken with their hoppin john and the cheese grits.

Important Note: The chicken fried chicken IS, in fact, served with country style gravy. Regardless of what the picture shows! lol
This is right by my work...is it good??
I would go for the southern food more than the Asian. I'm still waiting for Asian dishes that will wow me, but it's not happening. The meatloaf was excellent, the mac n cheese, hoppin john, collard greens were a hit at the luncheon yesterday.
