Bringing back very, very bad memories of years at Laie Elementary - I was THE haole girl. :( I guess the good side is that my bros and sister were THE haoles at Kahuku. Yeah, I'll take the bullies at Laie Elem. any day.
Hmmm, interesting. I don't associate the word "haole" with anything negative. In my mind, I am a haole because I came as a foreigner to the islands.
So true! I mean I know I haole, but yeah. My siblings were all haoles in Kailua.
I haven't heard of this restaurant. Guess it's time to Google. :0)
The mac is SO good! My sis was kind enough to drive there and bring some Mo'Bettah kine stuff. Teriyaki steak & chicken and kalua pig were shared and enjoyed by all. Good rice! Thanks for the super tip.
